Golf Swing Mechanics

Hi everyone,

Thanks for dropping by this site and getting some really valuable information which will completely change your golfing season. For the better.

By now a vast number of you will have ploughed through some or all of the most marketed golf theories out there: The X-factor swing, the Natural golf swing, AJ’s, Gravity Golf, the one plane swing, the two plane swing, the stand on one leg and squeal like a baboon swing (sorry I got carried away).

I always thought that the best approach was to simply show Freddie swinging and then tell you to swing like this guy! I saw Freddie live at a Skins Game and quickly came to the conclusion that the average guy or gal had faint chance of replicating his motion.

Why is that? Well, if you have ever seen Wayne Gretzky play hockey, you readily recognize that the great athletes make the complex and intricate look simple and fluid. For those of you who know how to skate, you know how difficult it is to be balanced and anticipate the flow of the action. You do not want to be going south into the boards when the puck and play are headed north. If that ever happens, fall in a heap of writhing pain to mask your ineptitude.

What in the world has that got to do with golf swing mechanics? Well, if you stay with me I’ll explain. Firstly, you have to know what the proper mechanics are before you can set about trying to master them. Secondly, you have to believe that they are, in fact, the proper mechanics or why waste your time trying to accomplish them? Finally, you have to possess the aptitude to learn the correct skills.

A colleague of mine says that what derails most learners is the fact that the learning part looks and feels like failure all the way up until the point when you finally get it, and get good. Most students abandon the effort well short of any success. They understandably get frustrated, angry and embarrassed with their efforts. They look spastic in front of their friends and revert back to the familiar lift and chop action that predictably provides one semi-solid strike out of every five swings.

When that one “pure” strike occurs, they pause in philosophical wonder and ask the age old question: “what alien just took over my body and produced a physical effort of such unearthly perfection?” Or as your wife might phrase it: why can’t you do that every time, conehead?

The real challenge is you not only have to master the mechanics but you also have to execute them in the right sequence. That is the rub. If you bugger up the sequence, the mechanics are irrelevant or, worse, distorted out of position.

Listen next time they do an analysis on TV of a top pro’s swing in slo-mo. Typically, the player will either be ahead, behind, coming up out of a shot or have the club stuck behind him. That is code for the observation that his “sequencing” was out of whack and that is why he whacked it out of bounds, or something like that.

Answer these questions please: Can you move your hips one inch to the left (for righties) while holding a golf club? Can you move your upper body just a little bit to the right? Can you lift your arms up sort of to the sky? Can you pop up on the through swing?

Actually, if you are under the age of 77, I can assure you, you can do all of these things. If you can, you can master both the sequence and mechanics of this really good, powerful and predictable golf swing (one that Touring Pros are actually using).

If you will at least be open to letting me prove to you that you can be better than the imposter who is currently standing by your golf bag, I will bribe you with a putting tip - actually a formula - which is totally unlike anything you’ve seen.

I will even arrange to get you this putting dvd for free if you cover the cost of shipping. Free. Go to the putting green and in under 12 minutes you will finally know how it feels to putt like a really, really good touring pro. Not bad, a free dvd to bribe you to go find out how you can become a much better player.

I have one condition: after using this information, you must send me an email telling me how you are now hitting the ball and putting .... and do that without you sounding like a babbling idiot. Deal?
